Intro

  • Design/Strategy: The Sr. Data Analyst designs and supports the business’s reporting needs using Tableau and, in the future, other BI tools.
  • Collaboration: The role that the Sr. Data Analyst plays is highly collaborative and, as such, works closely with Data engineers and business analysts within the business. Also works closely with other disciplines/departments and teams across the industry to develop simple, functional, and elegant solutions that balance data needs across the business.
  • Analytics: The senior data Analyst is analytical in quickly and thoroughly analysing business requirements for reporting and analysis, translating results into good technical data designs.
  • 6+ years of experience with Tableau and BI tools
  • Proven experience in developing and working with Tableau-driven dashboards and analytics.
  • Advanced Tableau development skills required
  • Working knowledge of Tableau administration/architecture.
  • Ability to query and display large datasets while maximising the performance of the workbook
  • Ability to interpret technical or dashboard structure and translate complex business requirements to technical specifications
  • Work with business stakeholders to create valuable reports and dashboards that provide insight, improve/automate processes, or add value to the team.
  • High-level competency in Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Understanding of advanced calculations and statistical functions.
  • A solid understanding of SQL, relational database management systems, data modelling, and normalisation
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Prior experience in Data Engineering is a strong plus.
