About the opportunity
- Hi, I’m Dan, the Chief People Officer at N26, and I am looking for a Senior Manager of People Strategy & Planning to join the People Team here at N26.

- You will be a key part of our People Leadership Team, using data and insights to develop and communicate our People Strategy.
- You’ll build and run the rituals that keep us delivering compliant people products.

In this role, you will
- Build on our High Performing Culture strategy and develop an annual people roadmap that delivers the goals of this strategy.
- Design the right rituals to keep team delivery on track; taking into account the diversity of our People Team and that not everyone loves a project tracker!
- Support me in some key meetings; preparing for our Board committees, ensuring I have good quality information to hand and sometimes stepping in to cover for me.
- Work with Internal Communications so that we communicate our initiatives and strategy really well. Sometimes we can make things complex, you will bring simplicity and clarity.
- Support me on cross-functional projects, maybe I need a sparring partner on org design or challenging on how I see the team performance, you’ll always have my ear and I will ask for your opinion.
- You’ll also support in making sure other teams at N26 are able to support our initiatives, for example the technology team who run our Workday platform.
- Budget and cost control is important to me and you’ll directly help me to manage a significant budget across compensation and opex.
- There will be a lot more too, this is a role that will require a lot of flexibility.
What you need to be successful
- Background:
- You will have a minimum of 5 years experience working with senior stakeholders, quite likely in a consultancy background.
- You’ve studied in areas like Business Administration, Psychology, Human Resources, Economics, Finance or Strategy.
- Have a desire to work as a Chief of staff or Chief People Officer.
- Skills:
- You are a strategic, forward-thinking leader who anticipates market shifts and confidently drives change.
- You inspire high performance by coaching and empowering teams to grow through transformation.
- You operate with structure and discipline, holding yourself and others to high standards of quality and pace.
- You build scalable, efficient processes and ensure execution with precision and speed.
- You lead with emotional intelligence, building trust across all levels of the organization.
- You effectively influence senior stakeholders, collaborate with works councils, and foster a culture of open, constructive feedback.
- You are self-aware, adaptable, and resilient - quick to learn from experience, open to feedback, and ready to pivot strategies to succeed in a fast-changing environment.

- Interview with Senior Manager, Corporate StrategyAssessment of your capabilities across strategy design, governance, operating rhythm, stakeholder influence, and communication. We’re looking for structured thinking, strong prioritization and trade-off decisions, business-first mindset, clear KPI and ownership models, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Take-Home Case StudyCompletion of a strategic case study reflecting a real business challenge.
- Case Study Presentation & Panel InterviewPresentation and discussion with the Head of Talent Acquisition, Director of Rewards & People Analytics, and Executive Assistant to the CPO.
- Final InterviewFinal conversation with the Chief People Officer.
