About the Role
- Okta is looking for a Marketing Data Operations Manager to join the Marketing Data Operations & Technology team. This role will own the management and optimization of Okta’s marketing data across our core marketing technology stack. You will be integral to delivering technical efficiency, operational excellence, and a framework of data-driven insights.
- The ideal candidate possesses a data-driven marketing mindset and has demonstrable experience building integrations between various marketing tools to drive performance.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Data Quality & Governance: Own and manage data cleansing, deduping and enrichment processes and platforms (specifically Clay and Clearbit) to improve data accuracy and completeness.
- System Integrations: Assist in the design, development, and implementation of scalable solutions and integrations across systems—including Marketo, Salesforce, and Zapier—to support go-to-market teams.
- Active Monitoring: Monitor live integrations and data flows (e.g., Salesforce sync, API connections) to identify, report, and troubleshoot any issues to ensure timely data delivery.
- Analysis & Reporting: Partner with Data & Insights and Marketing Analytics teams to ensure data is available for reporting; manipulate large datasets to support data governance and performance insights.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with business stakeholders to understand workflows and requirements, translating them into technical solution designs.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain a repository of documentation detailing data schemas and "black-box" processes to aid knowledge sharing across the organization.
Skills & Experience
- Required: 7+ years of experience in a data operations function supporting go-to-market teams.
- (Marketo): Advanced experience with Adobe Marketo Engage, including technical knowledge of Marketo APIs, MOjects, and the CRM sync architecture.
- (Salesforce): Proficiency with Salesforce, specifically the core Salesforce Object model and systems integrations.
- (Integrations): Proven experience building and managing integrations between various marketing tools (e.g., via Zapier or direct APIs).
- (Tools): Hands-on experience with Clay, Snowflake, Tableau
- (Technical): Knowledge of SQL for querying data warehouses (such as Snowflake) for analytical and reporting purposes.
- Experience with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Tableau, or Looker Studio.
- Working knowledge of Python or Apache Airflow.
