- Technical Expertise: You have strong command of Brazilian taxation, including corporate income tax (IRPJ/CSLL), indirect taxes (PIS/COFINS, ISS, ICMS), and transfer pricing under Brazilian rules aligned with OECD principles.

- About this role
- The Tax Manager, LATAM will own Udemy’s Brazilian tax compliance and planning for our limited-risk distribution entity and play a key role in supporting scalable tax operations across Latin America. This role combines hands-on operational tax management, advisory collaboration, and proactive support for Udemy’s continued growth across Latin America.

- What you’ll be doing
- Manage all direct and indirect tax compliance for Udemy’s Brazil legal entity, including corporate income tax (IRPJ/CSLL), PIS/COFINS, ISS, ICMS, and transfer pricing filings.
- Oversee the limited-risk distributor (LRD) structure, including cost-plus model, intercompany agreements, and tax-effected profitability analysis in coordination with HQ.
- Partner with external advisors and local accounting providers to ensure timely filings, reconciliations, and audits.
- Provide guidance and coordinate tax compliance for Udemy’s current and future operations across LATAM — including evaluating local withholding, VAT, and tax registration requirements.
- Support regional tax risk assessments and process improvements in collaboration with local finance and legal partners.
- Assist with cross-border tax audits, treaty interpretation, and transfer pricing documentation in the region.
- Contribute to global tax initiatives such as DAC7, digital services tax (DST), and BEPS Pillar 2 readiness.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Law, or Economics.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in Brazilian corporate taxation.
- Strong command of direct and indirect taxes (IRPJ/CSLL, PIS/COFINS, ISS, ICMS).
- Experience with limited-risk distributor or cost-plus structures and intercompany arrangements.
- Experience working with ERP and tax engines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across cultural and functional boundaries.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of process improvement and innovation in tax operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Law, or Economics.
