As part of the APJ sales team at Recorded Future, you will serve as an Senior Business Development Representative (BDR) - the frontline catalyst for revenue growth in named and target accounts. Through deep research, strategic outreach, relationship building and consultative discovery, you will build high‑quality opportunities and pipelines for our Account Directors based in the Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) territory.
- We seek an experienced and highly driven self‑starter with a strong passion for cybersecurity, who is eager to learn, develop and grow into a world‑class technology Account Director.
- By mastering Threat Intelligence, you will gain skills to analyse geopolitical shifts, nation-state tactics, and dark web trends, giving you the ability to engage confidently with CISOs, CIOs and IT decision-makers across the region. What You’ll Do
- Prospect & Qualify: Identify, research, and engage C‑suite and VP‑level prospects across target accounts
- Outbound Excellence: Run multi‑channel sequences (phone, email, LinkedIn, video) to engage prospects and create new sales opportunities to achieve and exceed monthly qualified meeting targets
- Account Mapping: Collaborate with Account Directors to build deep account intelligence: organisation charts, current technology stack, pain points, and buying committees
- Prospect & Qualify: Identify, research, and engage C‑suite and VP‑level prospects across target accounts
- Inbound Excellence: Follow up on hand-raisers and marketing generated leads (MQLs) from events and webinars etc in a timely and efficient manner
- Discovery: Lead first‑call discovery calls, uncovering pain points, exploring how Recorded Future can add value, and secure a next steps meeting
- Sales Methodologies: Learn and apply Recorded Future’s proven sales methodologies and processes
- Collaboration: Partner closely with Enterprise Account Directors, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to craft tailored outreach campaigns
- Continuous Improvement: Leverage coaching, call reviews, and enablement resources to refine messaging and objection‑handling skills
- Prospecting Tools: Utilise sales prospecting tools to identify and research target accounts and contacts
- CRM Hygiene: Log activities and maintain data accuracy and quality in Salesforce
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 3 years of successful outbound experience as a BDR / SDR, preferably in cybersecurity or technical SaaS products, in the ANZ enterprise space
- Proven record of surpassing pipeline or quota goals in enterprise or government segments
- Able to engage confidently with executive‑level stakeholders
- Desire to pursue technology sales as a career path
- Ambitious self‑starter mentality with the agility to thrive in a high‑growth, data‑driven culture
- Experience with Salesforce, Outreach, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator and prospecting tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to take direction, be coached, and mentored
- Ability to travel to training and company meetings in US and Singapore, and marketing events across Australia as required
- Must be able to attend the office at least 2 days a week in Sydney / Melbourne as minimum
- Must be based in Sydney or Melbourne only, with full legal rights to work in Australia
